About Us

Stephanie Noonan, BA, PCP, CPB

I am an experienced bookkeeper who has over twenty years of accounting and bookkeeping experience. After graduating from the University of Toronto, I went to work for a large national corporation and gained invaluable experience in accounts receivable and inventory accounting. After that I went on to become the accounting supervisor for a national manufacturing firm. I left the accounting field for a period of time to work in social services, where I assessed the financial needs of individual clients. From there I went to work in co-operative housing as a bookkeeper and I was on the finance committee presenting the financial statements.

With all of the experience that I gained over the years, I decided that I wanted to run my own bookkeeping business. I started to take on clients as a sole-proprietor, and ran a successful company for two years. After being a sole-proprietor for a couple of years I decided to incorporate in 2005, and I have continued bookkeeping under the name of Filling the GAAP Bookkeeping Inc.

I am a member in good standing with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), and the Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada (IPBC). I have my Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate from the CPA, and I am a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with the IPBC.

I have extensive experience in both QuickBooks and Sage 50. In addition, I am a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and a Sage Partner.

My educational experience includes a B.A. from the University of Toronto. After graduating I continued to take college and university level courses in both business and accounting. I am currently taking courses part-time at Durham College where I am working towards my Bookkeeping Certificate, and for enjoyment I am taking Master level courses at the University of Toronto.

I volunteer with the Clarington Project, which is a place for adults with developmental disabilities. I also volunteer on a non-profit finance committee. In my spare time I enjoy training my two dogs, Skye and Kenzie, in agility and rally obedience.

My goal is to run my business in such a way that my clients can be relieved of the stress of looking after their books, which will allow them to focus on what they do best - running their businesses..
